In the Muslim World, a Life Transformed — Because You Shared the Word of God

Maryam began her first year of college with the intention of completing a degree in Islamic studies. In the majority-Muslim nation where she lives, she was fortunate to have been able to attend school and be accepted to college.

As part of her studies, she wanted to contrast Islam and Christianity, but she lives in a nation where believers of Jesus risk persecution, or even imprisonment if found guilty of blasphemy of the Quran or Allah. So, to find out more about the Christian faith, Maryam reached out to our online missionaries through the What If It’s True? program.

At first her questions were just academic, but once she received those answers, Maryam kept returning to the site and corresponding with our online missionaries until the day she messaged them to say, “I can no longer continue in my Muslim faith. I must accept Christ as Savior.”

She’s now following Jesus in a nation where it is unsafe to be a believer. Her family arranged a marriage for her to a Muslim man (possibly to have her return to Islam), but she remains true to her faith in Jesus and has even shared the Gospel with her husband, who has not rejected it and seems curious to know more!

This is the power of God’s Word to transform young lives! Thank you for sharing the Good News with Maryam. Please pray with us that her husband, too, will soon come to know the Savior.

Reach Circles Lead to a Story of Hope

Anshul comes from a limited access nation where the vast majority of the population follows the traditional religion …

When a friend invited him to a Christian church, he went — but only because of his esteem for his friend. He didn’t really expect to learn anything there …

But it was there he heard the Word of God for the first time, and soon he chose to commit his life to Christ!

Today Anshul is a youth pastor, and one of his favorite ways to share God’s Word with the young people in his community is through Reach Circles, a OneHope program made possible by friends like you that brings teens and young adults together for Bible study and fellowship.

“From the very first session, I realized this was not just another seminar,” Anshul says. Instead Reach Circles is “profound, structured, and practical. It didn’t just give information, it equipped me to disciple others, multiply leaders, and reach my community in an intentional way.

“As I began to apply what I learned in Reach Circles, I noticed doors opening to share the Gospel with them — especially with young people.”

Thanks for providing a program that reaches deep into the hard-to-reach places with the life-transforming power of God’s Word!

You Introduced Kayra to Jesus

Kayra lives in a majority-Buddhist nation but was born into a Christian family where faith was familiar yet distant.

When her parents moved for work, she was left with her ill grandmother. At 15, Kayra carried adult responsibilities — such as managing the home and finances — while quietly aching for someone to care for her. Even at church, she didn’t know Jesus as friend or Savior.

But you reached out to her through Friend-to-Friend Champions, a program that equips Christian young people to reach out to their friends. She attended and says:

“I was finally able to understand the true meaning of a best friend — it’s Jesus!”

She committed her life to Christ and continues attending Friend-to-Friend meetings, which have empowered her to reach two other girls, Rashmi and Tamari, who want to know more about Jesus, too.

“I’m thankful to Jesus for revealing the truth to me,” Kayra says. “And thankful to my friend who invited me to Friend-to-Friend Champions.”

Kayra says her life “now shines with God’s blessing.” Thanks to you, the girl who once felt alone now walks in lasting hope, and leads others to the same Friend who changed her life.

Reach twice as many children like Kayra through the $1 million Every Child, Everywhere Matching Challenge — each $1 you give will be matched, so you’re reaching 6 children and youth with every dollar!

Reaching the Next Generation — Even Where It’s Hardest to Share the Good News

Stretching from North Africa through the Middle East and across Asia, the 10/40 Window is home to the majority of the world’s unreached children and youth. It is vast, complex, and often resistant to traditional ministry — yet it is where God is opening extraordinary doors.

To serve young people across this region, our approach must be as diverse as the cultures themselves. In some places, printed Scripture remains effective. In others, digital and media-based programs provide the safest and most effective way to introduce young people to Jesus.

This diversity of programs meets young people where they are and also protects local believers and ministry teams.

Digital tools like the Bible App for Kids, now available in 70 languages with more than 153 million lifetime installs, allow children to encounter God’s Word even where Christian materials are restricted.

Films such as Superbook, Lumo Project Films, and the award-winning animated film Rose bring the Gospel to life in ways young audiences can understand and remember.

Oral programs like God’s Big Story ensure that even pre-readers and nonliterate children can engage with Scripture. Leadership initiatives such as Lead Today invite teens to discover Jesus through principles of servant leadership — an approach welcomed by our partner churches.

Because of partners like you, the Gospel is crossing borders that missionaries cannot — and reaching hearts God has already prepared.

Together We Carry the Hope of Easter into the Hardest-to-Reach Places

By OneHope President Rob Hoskins

As we approach Easter, we are reminded that hope often develops during uncertain times.

Unlike the disciples, we have the benefit of knowing that Christ is risen.

But before the joyful victory of Resurrection Sunday, there was the sorrow of Maundy Thursday, the anguish of Good Friday, and the somber darkness of Holy Saturday. Yet each day, God was at work.

That truth matters as we approach Easter.

For many of our brothers and sisters around the world, this April 5 looks very different. Faith is practiced quietly. Worship happens carefully. Following Jesus requires courage, discernment, and resilience where access to Scripture is limited, and the cost of accepting Christ is high. And still, hope is alive.

The promise of Easter reminds us that no place is beyond God’s reach. What appears fragile on the surface is often sustained by a deep confidence in God’s faithfulness.

I am inspired by believers in hard-to-reach areas who carry hope with unwavering faith. Parents teaching their children, leaders offering support, and communities holding onto God’s Word — even at a personal cost — serve as powerful testimonies. Their lives show that the hope of Easter is lived out every day.

As we prepare our hearts for Easter, we are invited to remember these brothers and sisters in prayer. To carry their stories with us as we anticipate the celebration of Christ’s resurrection. And to trust that God is still building His Church, often in ways we cannot see.

Thank you for walking faithfully with us. May this Easter steady our hearts and remind us that the hope we celebrate on Resurrection morning is already at work in the world’s hardest places.

From the Edge of the Track to the Arms of Grace

At just 14 years old, Aurora was already carrying a heavy burden in her heart. She lives in Mexico, where she struggled with low self-esteem and a deep sense of unhappiness.

Like so many teenagers, she felt she wasn’t enough — less worthy, less loved, somehow falling short. Inside, she felt alone, wounded by emotional struggles she didn’t know how to name and uncertain that tomorrow could be any better than today.

Then she was invited to a special event where Rose, our youth film, was screened.

Aurora didn’t know what to expect. But as she watched the story about Rose, a headstrong young motorcycle racer who risks everything, crashes, and reaches her lowest point — something began to stir.

When Rose encountered Jesus on the screen and was given a new opportunity, Aurora says, “That scene moved me a lot.” In Rose’s story, she saw her own reflection.

As the film played, Aurora realized: “God always gives us opportunities. … It’s never too late if we look for Him with all our heart.”

In that moment, the message of the Gospel was no longer distant or abstract. It was personal. She felt God speaking directly to her heart, calling her to draw near, to be reconciled, and to trust Him to restore her life.

That day, Aurora chose to begin walking with Jesus.

Today she’s committed to following Him with the certainty that she is not alone and that God loves her just as she is.

Because of your generosity, a young girl who once felt unseen now knows she is deeply loved. You helped place Rose in front of Aurora at exactly the right moment — and God used it to set her on a brighter path. Thank you for being part of her story.
