Discover how a Book of Hope brought faith to a lonely orphan in Cambodia
Prosith’s earliest memories are tinged with the profound silence and solitude of his childhood home. Abandoned by his mother as an infant, he was left an orphan, growing up under the care of his devout Buddhist grandmother in Cambodia. His childhood was steeped in the rituals and teachings of both Chinese and Buddhist traditions.

Everything changed when Prosith was invited to a church program called World Without Sickness. It was through this initiative by OneHope, aimed at providing education about hygiene practices in his country, that Prosith first encountered Christianity.
Prosith received a World Without Sickness book that not only shared vital lessons on dental hygiene and overall health but also introduced him to someone who would change his life forever—Jesus Christ.

Initially, Prosith saw it as just another book, but as he delved into its pages, he was profoundly transformed by its message. He learned of a God who was real, and of Jesus, who bore a crown of thorns in mockery and was mercilessly crucified. “I realized that Jesus did nothing wrong, but He still paid for our sins. He doesn’t want us to suffer from our sins,” Prosith reflected.
The revelation that Christ had risen from the dead filled him with an indescribable joy and a new sense of purpose.
Reading the Book of Hope
With Jesus now in his life, Prosith began to experience profound changes. The loneliness that once overwhelmed him faded away, replaced by a comforting warmth in the presence of God. Despite the absence of his parents, he no longer felt abandoned.

“I no longer have to suffer because Jesus helps me. He is my father,” Prosith shares.
Driven by his faith, Prosith dreams of sharing this transformative message of love and hope with others who have yet to discover it. His mission is to bring the light of the Gospel to those still living in darkness, offering them the same love and hope that he found in Christ.
