Artificial Intelligence is rapidly shaping the world—but what does that mean for the next generation? With AI integrated into daily life, how do we help young people understand what it means to be human?
That’s why we’re excited to introduce AI & Being Human, a new series from Feed that explores these big questions with youth. Through Scripture study, discussions, and real-world applications, this four-week series helps students and leaders wrestle with AI’s role in their lives while staying grounded in God’s truth.
Why This Matters
Gen Alpha and Gen Z are the most digitally connected generations in history. According to the Gen Alpha Report, they spend an average of four hours online daily, with nearly 20% spending 8+ hours outside of schoolwork. Many consider AI tools like ChatGPT, Alexa, and Siri to be friends and sources of truth. Similarly, the Global Youth Culture report found that 44% of Gen Z in the U.S. say they spend up to 9 hours online daily, and 30% say they go online most often for information or guidance about gender, sexuality, or other sexual issues.
This raises important questions:
- How do we help young people navigate AI with biblical wisdom?
- How can we reinforce that their identity is found in Christ, not in algorithms or digital validation?
Reflection: In what ways have you already seen AI influence young people’s thinking and decision-making? How can we help them stay rooted in their God-given identity?
What This Series Covers
Each week of AI & Being Human tackles a different aspect of this topic:
- Being Human in the Age of AI – What does it mean to be made in God’s image?
- Knowing Truth in the Age of AI – How do we discern truth in a digital world?

- The Human Journey – What makes humans unique in God’s plan for creation?
The series includes leader guides, student guides, discussion questions, and application questions, making it a valuable resource for small groups, youth ministries, and anyone wanting to engage in meaningful conversations about AI and faith.

A young Jor in the streets near his home in the Philippines
Memories flooded back to Jor as he recalled receiving the book as a young boy in the Philippines, burdened with the relentless struggles of his childhood.
At only five years old, Jor was abandoned by his father, leaving him and his mother devastated and desperate. As a result, Jor’s childhood was spent caring for his younger brother and tirelessly assisting his mother as she worked to keep their family afloat.

Jor and his Mother constantly struggling to provide.
It was in the midst of these difficult years that missionaries came to Jor’s school and offered him the Book of Hope. While reading through the pages, he began to discover the promises of a father’s love through Christ. Jor realized that despite his abandonment, he could have a steadfast hope in God’s love.
“God is my heavenly father and is always with me,” Jor realized.

Unfortunately, the trials of Jor’s life persisted despite the hope he had found. Jor went to live with his aunt for the next three years, where he endured constant emotional abuse until his mother returned for him. Upon coming home, he found his father had also returned but was still consumed by alcohol. Jor continually witnessed the abuse and anger of his father.
In facing his father’s anger, Jor began to become angry too.“I was angry at God,” Jor recalls. “God, why did you put me in a broken family?”
Jor wrestled with the anger and suffering he had endured until the day a friend invited him to church.

It was then that the flicker of hope Jor had experienced as a young boy reading the Book of Hope was reignited. Immersed in the church community, Jor began to grow in his understanding of God’s love for him.
Now filled with passion about the love of Christ in his own life, Jor became a Cultivate intern with OneHope and is now a full-time team member in the Philippines.

As Jor once again held the book that reached him when he was a desperate and lonely child, he began to understand the impact of his mission:
“At that moment I realized that God’s Word. Every Child. had been intertwined in my story since I was a child.”
